MOSCA at SINOCORR 2025 – Supporting a low-carbon future for China’s packaging industry

·         Leading sustainable solutions for China’s Corrugated Packaging Industry

·         From MCB2XT high speed strapping solution to the new Mosca HUG hand tool

·         Technology leader presents end-of-line system with strategic local partner

Shanghai, 06 February 2025 – In-depth expertise, low-carbon footprint and local strategic partnerships are the focus at the Mosca GmbH exhibition stand in Shanghai. The strapping experts from Waldbrunn, Germany will be presenting their MCB2xt strapping machine for corrugated cardboard at SinoCorrugated 2025 (Stand N5A145). Other fully automated models developed and presented by Mosca in Shanghai include the SoniXs TRC-6 and the new HUG hand tool

As the leading trade exhibition for the Asian paper, folding carton and packaging industry, SinoCorrugated is an ideal platform for new and advanced Mosca machines designed specifically for corrugated products. Along with user-friendly functions, Mosca manual and fully automated strapping machines are highly reliable and easy to maintain. With options for completely networked communications, they can be integrated into fully automated and centrally controlled production and packaging lines. Representatives from Mosca will be available at the trade show to discuss system options and variants for corrugated board manufacturers.

Supporting a low-carbon future for China’s packaging industry

As China pursues its carbon peak and neutrality goals, the packaging industry is seeking innovative solutions to reduce its carbon footprint. Mosca’s strapping machines provide future-ready packaging solutions with energy-saving technology and sustainable strapping materials. Mosca provides efficient and eco-friendly strapping machines, helping businesses reduce operational costs while meeting government green development goals.

Customer favourite MCB2xt

Thanks to innovative motor technology and a simplified user interface, the MCB-2 XT straps corrugated stacks particularly gently and inline, i.e. parallel to the flute, to prevent damage to the corrugated structure of the material. With two parallel sealing units, the high-performance machine can double-strap up to 27 packages per minute to keep pace with the growing production output of folding gluing machines.

MCB2xt gently straps packages in-line with the flutes to prevent damage to the corrugated structure of the products.

Technology leader and partner for automation

Customers are increasingly automatizing their production processes, especially in the Asian region. "The degree of automation in China is developing very rapidly. Corrugated board manufacturers in India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and other countries are also relying more and more on fully automated palletizing and load securing systems," explains Mosca CEO Alfred Kugler. "We use our expertise to support companies on the path to automation. Working together, we analyse their potential and come up with a solution to increase production efficiency."

The SoniXs TRC-6 reliably straps high-volume products. Patented SoniXs ultrasonic technology, a Standard-6 strap path, and an optional automatic double strap dispenser simplify operation and reduce setup times. Parts of the Standard-6 strap path in the sealing unit can be removed and reassembled without tools. To make strapping products even safer in the future, the SoniXs TRC6 is now available with an optional side aligner. This enables precise strapping alignment on up to five sides of the product.

On the other side, Mosca is displaying its new HUG hand tool. The easy-to-operate battery-powered strapping tool is an entry-level model for customers who want to be flexible in terms of location, package size and strapping position.

Renewed commitment with strong local partners

"Our cooperation with Guangdong Dongfang Precision Science & Technology Co., Ltd enables us to present a complete end-of-line packaging solution to our customers and trade show visitors," explains Mosca CEO Timo Mosca. "A fully automated palletizing and load securing system can increase production output and significantly lower costs for customers." Perfectly coordinating all machines connected in the line – from folder-gluer machines to strapping and palletizing units – increases throughput and reduces personnel costs. The machine can be seen at Dong Fang booth Nr. N1A100.

Mosca will also be displaying its collaboration with local strong partners such as Taizhou Weide Packaging Co., LTD for plastic reduced PP strap, a strategic partnership to better serve the market requirements.
