What is UFI?

UFI is a familiar name to exhibition industry insiders, but for the outsiders, it may be a little bit confusing. So first of all, what is UFI in the exhibition industry?

UFI (Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) is the leading global association of the world’s trade show organizers and exhibition center operators, as well as the major national and international exhibition associations, and selected partners of the exhibition industry. UFI’s main goal is to represent, promote and support the business interests of its members and the exhibition industry. UFI directly represents around 50,000 exhibition industry employees globally, and also works closely with its 54 national and regional associations members.

How to obtain the status of “UFI Approved International Event”?

UFI adopts a stringent approach to auditing. If an exhibition wants to be granted as the “UFI Approved International Event”, it must meet certain soft and hard standards set out by UFI. For example, UFI requires that the number of international visitors, exhibitors and exhibition area of the exhibition must reach 20% or above of the total, and the data must be provided by a professional third-party. UFI will further review the data to ensure its authenticity. In addition, UFI will review relevant data of the exhibition for the past three years, to ensure objectivity and authenticity. Aside from the above-said hard standards, UFI specifies that to get approved, the exhibition must rank at the top of the industry in terms of exhibition services and on-site management, among other soft indicators, and must have a considerable influence in the industry. Therefore, when auditing, UFI will benchmark the candidate against other relevant international exhibitions, and even draw upon the partners and organizers of the exhibition as proof of its influence.

UFI does not audit based solely on the data provided by the third party. It will also send people to the exhibition, without prior notice, for spot inspections on the services and management of the exhibition.

What does it mean for SinoCorrugated to get approved by UFI?

What's stated above are just the "tip of the iceberg" of the auditing rules. But they give us a sense of how cautious and stringent UFI is before granting the approval. As the "Oscar" in the exhibition industry, UFI, with its absolute professionalism and authority, ensures that every data result it has audited is authentic and reliable. In other words, a UFI-approved exhibition event must truly stand out in all aspects.

To be held in Dongguan, Guangdong!

It is worth mentioning that SinoCorrugated South 2020, which is held every even year, will take place at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center in Dongguan, Guangdong on April 9–11, 2020.
