HP and EVRYTHNG partner to digitise packaging

Topic:DIGITAL PACKGAING

HP and EVRYTHNG have entered into a global partnership to digitise packaging and printed products at scale.

HP is a renowned digital press manufacturer, while EVRYTHNG is a product cloud providing digital identities to consumer products. Their partnership enables HP’s printing, packaging and enterprise customers, including CPG brands, to digitise their packaging and printed products at scale, and enable enhanced digital capabilities across product authentication, end-to-end traceability, consumer engagement, and other functions.

Specifically, HP’s packaging, consumer goods and publishing customers will now be able to use its industrial digital printers to print ‘born digital’ packaging and other items, each of which will be connected to the web through a unique active digital identity (ADI), which is managed in the EVRYTHNG product cloud. Brands can choose from a variety of serial mark types when printing – including watermarks, secure QR codes and standard QR codes – securely linked to ADIs in the cloud. The EVRYTHNG product cloud manages billions of these unique digital identities, helping enterprises gather and apply data intelligence at every step of a product’s journey, from manufacture, to the retail shelf and the consumer, and beyond.

EVRYTHNG CEO and co-founder Niall Murphy commented, ‘Market-leading brands and enterprises are digitising their products and packaging to gather data intelligence and meet consumer demand for transparency, authenticity and personalised experiences.’

EVRYTHNG’s partnership with HP ensures that HP’s industrial digital printing customers can gather this data that provides complete traceability and supply chain agility while also enabling customisation of packaging at scale and a host of consumer applications, including the ability to authenticate products prior to purchase, access additional product and ingredient information, and register purchases with loyalty programmes.

Mr Murphy continued, ‘Companies need to collect and use data intelligence throughout the entire product lifecycle to gain end-to-end supply chain visibility, operational agility and resilience. EVRYTHNG’s partnership with HP provides brands, publishers and packagers with the ability to digitise packaged and printed products at global scale, using the best digital print technology combined with secure digital identities and real-time data management in the cloud.’
